Our Stars 2011

The Stonewall National Museum & Archives in Fort Lauderdale (stonewallnationalmuseum.org) honored movement icon Elaine Noble with the Heritage Award, and “Man of the Year” Fort Worth City Council Joel Burns with the Spirit Award, at their first annual Our Stars Party at the home of Brian McNaught and Ray Struble on Friday, November 11, 2011. In 1974 in Massachusetts, Elaine Noble became the first openly gay person to be elected to a state legislature. Joel Burns brought international attention to the topic of school bullying through YouTube with his tearful address to colleagues. Left to right seated: John J.
